Homecoming schedule for Sept. 28 released

Decorating the hallways is just one of the annual Homecoming traditions.

Vice Principal Mr. Jere Kubuske has announced the final schedule for Sept. 28’s day-long Homecoming festivities.

7:30 a.m.: Kassie’s Walk-for-a-Purpose (begins at the legacy cross near the Shiel Student Life Center

8:40 a.m.: School start (meet in county for prayer and pledge)

8:45 a.m.: Report to designated areas for film fest (with ticket) or assembly rehearsal

8:50 to 9 a.m.: Films begin; assembly rehearsal starts (Student Council, Latin Dance, Code Irish dance team, cheerleaders); hallway decorations are removed by varsity football team

10:35 to 11 a.m.: Films end and students released and sent to their designated lunch pick-up locations (Welch Activity Center lobby or cafeteria, as designated on ticket)

11:15 a.m.: Lunch in the courtyard; powderpuff finals begin on the football field

Noon (or at the conclusion of powderpuff): All report to the Welch Activity Center for the Homecoming assembly presented by Student Council with seating by class

1:45 p.m. (approximately): Spirit stick is awarded to the winning class, dismissal

7:30 p.m.: Homecoming game at Arsenal Tech vs. Ryle Union (Kentucky) Raiders (flannel theme)
