StuCo announces Homecoming plans

Festivities kick off with all-out Irish on Oct. 2

There will be a Homecoming assembly on Oct. 9, but it probably won’t look much like this scene from last year.

Homecoming festivities will begin on Oct. 2, followed by a week of events that culminate in the varsity football game against Brebeuf Jesuit and crowning of the king and queen on Oct. 9 at Arlington.

Rather than have students gather in groups to decorate hallways, that part of Homecoming will involve classes decorating a tri-fold wall outdoors and an assigned parking spot. This activity will take place after school on Oct. 7.

There will be an assembly on Oct. 9, but specific details about this event have not yet been announced.

Dress-up days:

Friday, Oct. 2: All-out Irish

Mission Monday, Oct. 5: Crazy hat day

Tuesday, Oct. 6: Future vs. past (freshmen and sophomores dress for the future; juniors and seniors throw it back to the past).

Wednesday, Oct. 7: Virtual on top, but school appropriate casual on the bottom.

Thursday, Oct. 8: Holidays (freshmen, Valentine’s Day; sophomores, Halloween; juniors, Fourth of July; seniors, Christmas)

Friday, Oct. 9: Students will represent their class theme.
